Job Summary
Physical Therapist Assistant Outpatient, located in the specified area, is responsible for assisting in the implementation of therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals. The role involves supporting physical therapists in delivering patient-centered care in a dynamic outpatient setting.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school, CAPTE Certified, 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience, CPR Certification, and a minimum of 1 year of experience required.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include assisting with therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, balance exercises, and gait training using assistive devices.
- Demonstrates proper use of modalities like whirlpools, hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and therapeutic pools.
- Monitors patient responses, documents progress, and educates patients and families on body mechanics and equipment use.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and compliant treatment environment following all safety and infection control policies.
- Participates in team conferences and ongoing quality improvement projects.
- Performs other duties as required.
