Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Assistant Outpatient position is available in a healthcare setting. The role involves providing outpatient therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, focusing on functional improvement, mobility, and patient safety. The position is scheduled for daytime hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an emphasis on patient safety and quality care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week, from 10/05/2026 to 01/04/2027
- Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution; CAPTE Certified; 2+ years outpatient clinical experience; CPR Certification; active/applicable license for the state where work will be performed
- Preferred Qualifications: Successful prior assignment with the agency or organization; experience with outpatient therapy treatment planning and patient education
- Additional Information: Implements treatment goals, assists with therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening, balance exercises, gait training, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Trains patients using orthotics, assistive devices, and ensures safety during therapy sessions. Documents patient progress, maintains a clean and safe treatment environment, and collaborates with healthcare team members. Promotes patient and employee safety, adhering to all safety protocols and facility guidelines. Demonstrates strong customer service skills and professional conduct at all times.
