Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) specializing in outpatient therapy at a busy clinic in Illinois. This role involves managing a varied caseload of outpatient orthopedic patients, contributing to a collaborative clinical environment, and utilizing advanced AI-supported documentation tools to enhance patient care.
Job Details:
- Location: Outpatient clinic in Illinois.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Outpatient case management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a physical therapist (PT) and PTA clinical team. A minimum of 10 years of experience and 0 years of additional experience are preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: More than 1 year of clinical experience.
- Patient Caseload: Approximately 1011 patients per day, with evaluation times scheduled in 30-minute blocks and sessions lasting about 1 to 1.25 hours.
- Types of Cases Seen: Achilles Tendonitis, ACL Tear, Back Pain (Post-Operative), Calf Strain, Disc Herniation, Fractures/Stress Fractures, Generalized Low Back Pain, Headache, Meniscus Tear, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Plantar Fasciitis, Postural Dysfunction, Rotator Cuff Non-Surgical Intervention, Balance, Deconditioning, Neck and Back Pain, Vestibular Therapy, and Manual Therapy.
- Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Documentation System: NextGen.
- Staff Support: Front desk staff, rehab aides, 2 PTs, and 1 PTA.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Dress code is business casual. The candidate will utilize generative AI documentation technology to assist with real-time, compliant clinical documentation.
