PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA) | CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a rewarding contract opportunity in a rehabilitation setting. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

SHIFT DETAILS
  • Shift Time: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Meal Break: 30 Minutes
  • Day Shift
  • Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
GUARANTEED HOURS & PAY
  • Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
  • Pay Rate:$39.00 - $45.50 per hour
REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
  • Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, home health, or acute care settings preferred
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities
  • Provide gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions
  • Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home therapy programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure patient safety during all therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with therapists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Assist patients in achieving maximum functional independence and rehabilitation goals
  • Adhere to all regulatory, professional, and facility standards
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Guaranteed 35 hours per week
  • Competitive pay rate of $39.00 - $45.50 per hour
