Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) in Artesia. This position involves providing outpatient physical therapy services primarily within a hospital-based outpatient setting, with potential flexibility to work in inpatient rehabilitation units. The role supports implementation of treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining open communication with the healthcare team.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Valid State License as a Physical Therapist, BLS Certification, 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience outside of clinicals, and minimum of 1 year of experience overall.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break, totaling at least 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Implement individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, report progress to PT, guide patients through functional exercises and equipment use, document patient progress, and communicate with PT and patients.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have completed modules prior to working on the floor, with billing of module work up to six hours permitted. The role requires treating 8 to 10 patients per day with no more than three days of time-off request. Experience in total joints, back/shoulder/foot pain, neuro conditions such as TBI, stroke, Parkinson's disease, and working with juvenile (typically 5+) to geriatric populations is preferred. Must have one year of outpatient PTA experience; inpatient experience will be considered. Candidates may work in acute inpatient, acute rehab, skilled, or outpatient settings, primarily hospital-based outpatient PT. A department-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts with a preceptor will be provided. Clinical charting is done through TruBridge - Evident.
