Description

American Traveler is seeking an Acute Care Inpatient Physical Therapist with NV PT license and prior travel experience for a Level II Trauma Center in Reno, NV.

Details

• Acute care inpatient setting treating pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• 4x9 schedule, Wednesday through Saturday with varied shifts
• No call requirements
• May be required to float to other units based on organizational needs and competency level
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts
• Facility may cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census, full or partial shifts

Requirements

• NV PT license required if applicable
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience preferred; candidates with rehab or SNF experience will also be considered
• Total joint experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required, minimum one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive PT evaluation and treatment including gait and transfer training, orthotic/prosthetic training, and wound care
• Responsible for direct clinical supervision of PT assistants and rehab technicians
• May participate in program development and outcome measurements
• Expected to work at least 2 major holidays per year
• Located in the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after completing a prior contract
• Requested time off must be submitted with initial application and will not be added to end of contract
• No blocked scheduling permitted; all assignments are 13 weeks
