Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Inpatient Rehabilitation – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 28, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), 40 hours per week. Three weekend days per six-week schedule. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

• Inpatient physical therapy role treating diverse patient populations across multiple units including Emergency Department, Ortho/Spine, Rehabilitation, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical
• Varied caseload including orthopedic procedures (total joint replacements, hip fractures), neurological conditions (stroke, Parkinson's, spinal cord injury), lower extremity amputations, and post-surgical patients
• Approximately 7 patient visits per day with daily census of 50 in therapy services
• First-time travelers welcome with comprehensive 36-hour orientation period
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas Physical Therapy license required at time of submission
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Experience with acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, and rehabilitation settings
• Proficiency in evaluation, treatment planning, gait training, adaptive/assistive devices, and patient/family education
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
