Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and a current MA license.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital setting
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with one full weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Day off scheduled the week before and after working weekend shifts
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days as scheduled
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Massachusetts license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of hospital acute care experience required
• Level I or II trauma hospital experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Two references required for consideration, one of which must be a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic populations
• Treats conditions including hip fractures, total joint replacements, COPD, CHF, stroke, and spinal cord injury
• Utilizes adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and therapeutic exercise techniques
• Provides home exercise programs and patient/family education
• Required to complete a Pass/Fail Tele test and Medication exam during orientation
• Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
