Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, open to new graduates, with EPIC charting and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred.

Details

  • Acute care hospital unit treating patients of all ages
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, 40 hours per week
  • One weekend shift per month required, no holiday shifts
  • Uses EPIC for clinical documentation
  • Provides supervision to PTAs and rehabilitation technicians

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
  • New graduates considered
  • Illinois Physical Therapist License required if applicable
  • BLS certification required (AHA)
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
  • Skilled in supervision of support personnel, outcome measurement, clinical documentation, PT diagnosis, examination methods, and screening procedures

Additional Information

  • Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, modifying plans of care as appropriate
  • Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
  • Designs and adjusts individualized plans of care based on patient response and evidence-based practice
  • Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers
  • Performs examinations and screenings to determine PT diagnoses and treatment needs
  • Documents care in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Collaborates with medical team on patient progress, discharge planning, and equipment needs
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
  • Travelers may not continuously work at this facility for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
  • First-time travelers considered
