Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health assignment requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Home health care setting within the Therapy unit
• Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts, though 4x10s would be considered
• Uses Point Click Care (PCC) as the charting system
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Completion of an accredited physical therapy program required
• National registration and state licensure required, if applicable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assesses client needs and develops individualized therapy plans
• Administers therapeutic interventions and documents observations and services provided
• Notifies physician of changes and processes orders as needed
• Provides direct consultation with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Provides training on programs, adaptive equipment, and other interventions
• Utilizes and supervises therapy assistants in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Follows appropriate bag techniques, standard precautions, and infection control protocols
• Candidates must live within an 80-mile radius of the facility, though local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
