Job Summary
Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient Location: Bismarck, North Dakota. This position involves providing pediatric physical therapy evaluations and treatments in both school-based and hospital outpatient environments. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, documentation, and supporting developmental and orthopedic assessments for pediatric patients.

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BS in Physical Therapy, North Dakota PT license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, current drivers license, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric physical therapy.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour days, 40 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include pediatric evaluations and treatments, developmental assessments, orthotic and equipment needs assessments, accurate documentation, patient and caregiver training, and working with individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Clinical experience required includes working independently in hospital outpatient and educational environments, with knowledge of pediatric assessment tools such as Peabody, Bruininks-Oseretsky, GMFM, and School Function Assessment.
  • Equipment utilized includes electronic medical records, gait trainers, standers, wheelchairs, and other pediatric therapy devices.
  • The position may involve occasional home visits and coordination with school districts.
  • No on-call duties, weekends, or holidays are required.
