Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment, requiring current NM PT licensure and BLS certification.

Details

  • Outpatient physical therapy setting within a Physical Medicine Therapy department
  • Day shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Full-time, 13-week assignment
  • Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

  • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
  • BLS certification via AHA required
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required
  • Proficiency with modalities/equipment used by Physical Therapists as outlined by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment and annual health screening examinations

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment plan development, and discharge planning for both inpatient and outpatient patients
  • Participates in patient care conferences, family conferences, and departmental meetings
  • Assists with supervision and coordination of Physical Therapy and PTA student programs, as well as volunteers
  • Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers
  • Involved in Performance Improvement activities and departmental operations
  • Dress code includes khaki pants and a white polo
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates may be considered where accepted
