Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves evaluating, planning, and supervising inpatient physical therapy treatments in accordance with physician referrals, departmental policies, and regulatory standards. The position requires clinical competence to deliver age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must have graduated from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of Physical Therapy, hold a current Physical Therapy license within the State of Arizona, and possess BLS certification. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate clinical competency, experience, training, and education aligned with the role.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education or experience is preferred.
- Additional Information: This position involves assessment of patients' functional abilities, development of individualized treatment plans, documentation of interventions, effective communication with patients and interdisciplinary team members, supervision and delegation to clinical support staff, and participation in departmental activities. Candidates must be capable of responding quickly to patient needs and utilizing proper body mechanics to assist with patient mobility.
