Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital outpatient PT department, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

  • Outpatient Physical Therapy department within a 58-bed acute care facility
  • Serves patients of all ages on a 1:1 basis, with sessions lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour
  • Common diagnoses include post-op ortho, acute stroke, musculoskeletal disorders, balance issues, and general debility
  • Schedule runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with every other weekend required
  • No call requirements and no floating required
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of Physical Therapy experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Outpatient PT experience required
  • License required if applicable
  • Must be able to work with patients of all ages and varying diagnoses

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Work under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services
  • Scrub colors must be royal blue or black; casual wear, open-toed shoes, and other facility-branded attire are not permitted
  • Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Must not be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
