Physical Therapist Outpatient in Highlands, North Carolina. This outpatient position involves providing comprehensive therapy services focused on rehabilitation, with an emphasis on patient treatment rather than evaluation. The role is based at a rehab-focused unit within a hospital that offers a modern rehab gym with outdoor therapy options.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license in physical therapy, BLS certification, 1 year of experience minimum, located within North Carolina, no specific educational requirements specified
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in outpatient therapy, ability to evaluate and treat hospital-admitted patients with a rehab mindset
  • Additional Information:
    • Patient ratio is approximately one patient per hour
    • Unit staffed with around 2 CNAs per shift and a rehab technician available 20 hours weekly
    • Fully equipped rehab gym, new equipment, outdoor therapy options, and modern amenities including a kitchen and laundry setup
    • Floating to a nearby healthcare center in the same building if needed, with flexible schedule options
    • Standard OT state license and BLS required for certification
    • Uniform required: Scrubs (any color)
