Job Description

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs and physician directions. This role involves delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while performing additional professional duties related to patient care and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge.
• Effectively manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with established guidelines.
• Participate in the student program as assigned, providing a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Acute inpatient experience preferred.
