Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring a bachelor's degree in PT and 2+ years of experience.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting within the Therapy Department at a 199-bed facility with an average census of 120
  • Average PT caseload of 40 patients, with each therapist managing approximately 10-12 patients
  • Supported by 1 rehab tech on the unit
  • Uses Meditech for documentation
  • Monday-Friday schedule, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • One weekend day required per month only if needed, with a flex day given during that week
  • Productivity expectation of 50% billable hours, which is standard for acute care

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required at minimum
  • BCS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Prior acute care experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in orthopedics, neuro, and general medical caseloads preferred
  • CCU experience a plus
  • Fingerprinting required prior to start per New Mexico state requirements, with documentation of processing status
  • May begin on a 14-day waiver while background check is pending, with required supervision during that time

  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
  • Facility located in Las Cruces, NM, offering year-round sunshine and access to outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, and ATV trails
