Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
  • Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements
  • Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations; apply learned knowledge to meet organizational objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Georgia
  • Experience performing comprehensive patient evaluations and developing evidence-based treatment plans
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, and compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
