Job Title: Physical Therapist (Contract)

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11213

Shift: Days | Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks | 09/14/2026 – 12/12/2026 (possible extension)

Pay Package:

• Travel: $2,080.00 Weekly Gross Approx.
• Local: $1,840.00 Weekly Gross Approx.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist in a supervised setting within the last three years.

Licenses & Certifications

• New York State Physical Therapy License and current NYS Registration.
• CPR Certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and reach for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Job Overview

Evaluate and treat patients through an individualized program of physical therapy. Treatment includes assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and communication related to a patient’s progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the assigned area of the hospital.
• Evaluate patient needs and track outcomes and progress; consult with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Document patient progress and discharge summaries according to department policy.
• Track statistics and maintain treatment records according to department policy.
• Collaborate with members of the therapy team to coordinate therapeutic services for individual patients.
• Follow established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement programs, safety standards, environmental standards, and infection control protocols.
• Work with family members to ensure they can support therapy outside of the hospital as needed.
• Design services and procedures to meet the needs of infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient populations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.
• Maintain current knowledge of professional literature and best practices.
