Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of hospital setting experience for an inpatient rehab unit.

Details

• Inpatient Rehab Therapy unit with 44 beds and a 4:1 patient ratio
• Unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
• Equipment used includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego
• Documentation performed in Meditech Expanse
• Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
• May float to acute hospital if rehab census is low

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment preferred
• Skilled in manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care training, and functional e-stim
• License required if applicable
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

• Unit holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
• Uses AIDET communication framework and emphasizes immediate service recovery for patient experience
• Dress code preference of black scrub bottoms and royal blue top
