Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 80

· Patient Ratios : 1:6 day, 1:8 night

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 HUC, 2 Rehab Techs

· Type of equipment : Sara stedy, Sara plus, hoyer, viking, sliding boards, etc.

· Documentation system: Meditech and RehabConnect

· Scheduling requirements: central scheduler

· Floating policy: dedicated to the rehab facility, not a float position, can be flexed

· Patient Experience requirements: TBI, stroke, ortho, cardiac, SCI, pulmonary, debility

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications: hospital is YCVA certified

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: Occupational Therapy: hands-on skills, knowledge of relevant medical conditions, experience with EMR doc and compliance, experience with team conference/interdisciplinary communication, family trainings, and DME recs

Must have : experience in an inpatient rehab hospital preferred; proficiency in safe patient handling techniques, familiarity with protocols to prevent complications like autonomic dysreflexia, bowel/bladder programs, skin integrity and wound prevention (monitoring/managing pressure ulcer prevention strategies), training in wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment, interpersonal and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration, good time management skills, critical thinking skills

Advanced skills needed:

Procedures performed on unit: e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care, limb wrapping

Certifications Required: minimum degree, current licensure to practice in NC

Dress Code : (Required uniform)

· Rehab casual or black scrub bottoms and eggplant purple scrub tops.
