Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to evaluate and implement personalized treatment plans for outpatient patients. This role involves working closely with patients to assist in their recovery and ensuring they meet their personal goals based on physician directives. The Physical Therapist will also educate patients and their families while providing guidance to junior staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for assigned patients.
• Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Ensure accurate and timely medical record documentation.
• Collaborate with physician orders and facilitate patient care per insurance guidelines.
• Participate in student mentorship programs and provide supervision and evaluations.
• Stay current with professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure with ongoing education requirements.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• CPR Certification.
• Experience in outpatient clinical settings preferred (6 months - 1+ year).
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8 schedule with evaluations lasting 60 minutes and follow-ups scheduled every 30 minutes.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
