Job Summary:
The inpatient physical therapy specialty position is located in a healthcare facility in Chandler, Texas. This role involves providing therapy services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The position requires a dedicated physical therapist with inpatient experience and a commitment to patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas Physical Therapist license (pending license accepted), BLS certification, 1 year of experience, experience with the Epic charting system, no travel experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, inpatient experience in a hospital or long-term acute care setting, trauma level I or II experience, community hospital experience, familiarity with various skills including gait training, assessment, and use of adaptive devices
- Additional Information: Certifies familiarity with a wide range of therapeutic skills and equipment, including mobility aids, assessments, and therapeutic techniques. The role involves managing a patient census of approximately 33 patients per day with interdisciplinary support available. Compliance with licensing and onboarding regulations is mandatory, including timely completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing. All required licenses should be in hand at the time of submittal, and previous staff must wait at least one year before returning as travelers.
