    Pharmacy Technician III (Travel Contract)

    Contract | Days | Onsite | 10/12-Hour Shifts (no schedule accommodations available)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist in the preparation, mixing, compounding, dispensing, and control of medications and pharmaceuticals in accordance with department policies and standard operating procedures
    • Mix hazardous and non-hazardous compounds using vertical and horizontal laminar air flow hoods and ancillary IV room equipment
    • Operate pharmacy computer systems, automated medication dispensing systems, Alaris Smart Pumps, and related technology platforms
    • Apply strong math skills including calculation of fractions, ratios, and decimals in daily pharmacy operations
    • Work independently with limited but direct pharmacist supervision, collaborating with pharmacists, nurses, and ancillary department staff
    • Occasionally operate a personal vehicle to transport medications or supplies to designated destinations
    Required Qualifications
    • PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) — required
    • Massachusetts Registered Pharmacy Technician — required
    • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross — required
    • Minimum 3 years of pharmacy technician experience — required
    • Retail pharmacy experience — required
    • Minimum 6 months of current or past inpatient hospital experience — required
    • Demonstrated ability to mix compounds (hazardous and non-hazardous) — required
    • Must be 18 years of age or older and meet applicable state character and background requirements
    • Must have a personal vehicle available for use during the assignment
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of profile upload; scheduling requests will not be considered after submission or offer

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with pharmacy automation systems such as DoseEdge, Simplify797, or similar platforms
    • Familiarity with infusion pumps and IV room ancillary equipment
    • Experience in a teaching hospital or high-volume inpatient pharmacy environment
