    Travel Pharmacist

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 24 Weeks | Evening/Night Shift | 2:30 PM – 3:00 AM | 7 On / 7 Off

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform IV verification, medication verification, and IV compounding as needed within a hospital pharmacy setting
    • Manage complex patient populations including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and ECMO patients
    • Apply advanced pharmacokinetic dosing protocols including Vancomycin AUC dosing, aminoglycoside dosing, renal dosing, and electrolyte protocols
    • Manage anticoagulation therapies including warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, and DOACs
    • Utilize pharmacy and documentation systems including Meditech Expanse, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Virginia State Pharmacist License required
    • Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience required
    • Proficiency with Dose Edge IV, Pyxis, Meditech, and Vigilanz systems
    • Experience with advanced dosing protocols: Vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, DOACs, and electrolyte protocols
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with complex patient populations including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and/or ECMO
    • Familiarity with clinical resources such as Sanford Guide, UpToDate, Vancomycin AUC calculator, Briggs, and LexiDrug
    • Experience in a high-acuity hospital environment such as a Level 1 Trauma or Level 1 Burn Center
