Key Responsibilities
Provide consultative services and clinical expertise to evaluate and improve medication usage and therapeutic outcomes
Process orders and prescriptions to provide medications and pharmaceutical supplies ordered by physicians and authorized medical practitioners
Advise physicians, healthcare staff, and patients on the safe administration of medications
Follow established policies and procedures for medication safety, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and compliance activities
Participate in the development of and ensure compliance with pharmacy scope of practice standards
Perform other job functions as assigned or requested
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent clinical pharmacy experience required
Pediatrics experience required
Active Tennessee Pharmacist license required at time of submission
Valid driver's license required at time of submission
Must be in compliance with NLC guidelines; pending licenses not accepted
At least one prior travel assignment completed
Preferred Experience / Skills
3 or more years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
Experience working in a pediatric hospital or Level I Pediatric Trauma Center setting
EPIC electronic health records experience preferred
