Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7 nights on / 7 nights off | Shift times: 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM | Every 3rd weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV admixture and IV pharmacy preparation in an inpatient setting
• Manage and review drug interactions and antibiotic stewardship protocols
• Process and verify medication orders, including patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)
• Conduct medication order entry and verification with accuracy and compliance
• Support anticoagulation management and pharmacokinetic/renal dosing as needed
• Operate within the Epic electronic health records system for all pharmacy functions

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• PharmD degree and Registered Pharmacist (RPh) credentials required
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Epic proficiency required — no exceptions
• Must have permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (applies to RN/nursing candidates; allied candidates may be considered regardless of distance)
• No prior license or background hits will be accepted — any history will disqualify a candidate from consideration
• Facility cannot accommodate a PAPR; any history of fit test issues will disqualify a candidate from consideration

• Previous travel pharmacy experience
• Chemotherapy experience
• Anticoagulation management
• Pharmacokinetic and renal dosing experience
