Candidates living within a certain distance of the facility will be considered local.
Inpatient roles, variable based on team needs.
Must be comfortable with standard pediatric orders due to the pediatric aspect of the role.
Common duties include order verification, product check and release, remote sterile compounding verification, and clinical tasks such as IV-PO, renal dose review, aminoglycoside and anticoagulation dosing.
The pharmacy team is staffed 24 hours in sterile compounding and non-sterile roles.
Shift scheduling is block scheduling for PM/overnight roles.
Weekend requirements are up to every other weekend, with rotating holiday requirements.
There is no on-call requirement, but call-in may be asked for sick calls.
Medication dispensing systems include Omnicell ADMs, Cerner EMR, and Pharmacy Keeper for compounding and remote verification.
Business casual dress code is required unless entering a sterile environment, where facility scrubs are provided.
Orientation for this role typically lasts 1-2 weeks, dependent on the specialization being filled.
Charting system used is Cerner.
Trauma level is 2.
Care setting is acute.
Division is allied.
Shifts are primarily 3rd shift but will rotate to 2nd shift as needed.
Typically, the work week will start on Wednesday for staff, with hours alternating between 30 hours one week and 40 hours the other during the 2-week pay period.
