Job Summary:
This inpatient pharmacist position is located at a healthcare facility that provides pharmaceutical services across diverse patient age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The role involves working nights with a schedule of seven days on followed by seven days off, ensuring comprehensive medication management and patient safety. The position requires a minimum of one year of outpatient or inpatient pharmacy experience, along with appropriate certifications.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), IV Certification, PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) or RPh (Registered Pharmacist), pending or obtained licensure as specified
- Required Qualifications: Current pharmacy license (pending license ok, ETA 10 days), at least one year of pharmacy experience, valid certifications listed above
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with antibiotics, anticoagulation therapy, pharmacy automation systems (Carousel System, Pyxis), clinical dosing, compounding, pediatric and geriatric dosing, high-alert medications, sterile technique, therapeutic drug monitoring, warfarin dosing, PK dosing, renal dosing, TPN preparation, and leadership experience in a pharmacy setting
- Additional Information: The position entails working within a multidisciplinary team, supporting patients across various diagnoses, and utilizing electronic medical records systems such as Epic. Travelers will be expected to float within their scope to like units based on facility needs. Brief orientation and labs are scheduled within 48 business hours of contract signing. All hours are recorded during onsite modules during orientation.
