Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist- Accept and dispense prescription medications
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
- Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
- Ensure the suitability of medicines prescribed to patients
- Accurately maintain confidential patient records
- Advise patients on medication usage and potential reactions
- Provide consultation on various medications and manage drug interactions
- Offer patient services like smoking cessation and blood pressure measurement
- Educate patients on medical devices usage
- Compound and prepare sterile solutions as needed
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical supplies
- Identify and communicate drug-related issues with physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to ensure quality care
Requirements of the Pharmacist- Wisconsin RPh license
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Licensed by the state pharmacy board
