Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist- Accept and dispense prescription medications.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
- Ensure the supply of medicines is within the law.
- Verify that prescribed medicines are suitable for patients.
- Maintain confidential records and manage patient records and pharmacy files.
- Advise patients about medicines, including usage, reactions, and answer questions.
- Provide consultation on the storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Offer patient services such as smoking cessation, and blood pressure management.
- Educate patients on handling medical devices.
- Compound medications for internal or external use and prepare sterile solutions.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and maintain inventory on supplies.
- Identify and communicate drug-related problems with healthcare professionals.
Requirements of the Pharmacist- Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
- Licensed by the Wisconsin state pharmacy board.
- Non-sterile compounding preferred.
- Experience with on call/overnight shifts is preferred.
