This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a short-term assignment supporting a collaborative pharmacy team. The assignment will consist of approximately 6 weeks, working 4 days per week with a schedule determined by the facility. This position will be in an inpatient hospital setting. The pharmacy hours are from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Call is required on scheduled workdays, but call volume is minimal and call-ins are infrequent. Responsibilities include providing inpatient pharmacy services in accordance with hospital policies and regulations. The pharmacist will review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness. Responsibilities also include preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications for hospitalized patients. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team is essential to optimize patient care. It is important to ensure safe medication practices and maintain accurate documentation. This is a temporary coverage assignment only, intended to provide continuity of inpatient pharmacy services during a transition period.
