**Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric Travel RNs - Step Down Unit!** - Join a dynamic Pediatric Step Down Unit with a capacity of 36 all-private patient rooms, outfitted for parent accommodations. - Work with a skilled team of 60 staff members who thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Night Shifts Available: 7PM - 7AM with a supportive structure including: - 1 Charge Nurse (patient-free) - 1-2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) - Occasional Clinical Nurse Coordinator support - Deliver exceptional care to mixed patient populations: - Step Down Patients: 1:3 ratio (e.g., spinal fusions, chest tubes, high flow oxygen) - Basic Care Patients: 1:4 ratio **Requirements:** - Minimum 1-year current experience as a Pediatric RN - Certifications: BLS & NRP required - Comfort with high flow oxygen, spinal fusions, and chest tubes - Preferred: Prior Meditech experience **Typical Procedures Performed:** - NGTs, Foleys, TP Tubes, PIVs, and Phlebotomy - Rare opportunities for LPs **Ideal Candidate Traits:** - Energetic team player who enjoys a collaborative environment - Willingness to seek help and assist colleagues - Fun, supportive, and fast-paced team atmosphere **Unit Highlights:** - Convenient on-site parking connected directly to the department (Free of charge!) - Flexible scheduling with attention to traveler’s availability - Opportunity to work with diverse patient cases, excluding trauma and burns - Commitment to traveling nurses as integral team members, not just last-minute fillers **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
