**Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric RN Travelers!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - **Location:** 2001 N High St, Denver, CO 80205, 4th Floor - **Unit:** Peds Step-Down-4CN - **Bed Count:** 36 all private rooms with parent sleeping accommodations - **Staff:** 60 dedicated professionals - **Staffing Details:** - **Day Shift:** - 1 charge RN (patient-free) - 1-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs/CNAs) - Occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - **Night Shift:** - 1 charge RN (patient-free) - 1-2 PCTs - Occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - **Patient Ratios:** - Mixed care - step down patients (spinal fusions, chest tubes, high flow oxygen) staffed at 1:3 - Basic care patients staffed at 1:4 - **Equipment and Technology:** - Phillips Monitors - EMR: Meditech - **Ideal Candidate Skills:** - **Must Have:** - Minimum 1 year current Pediatric RN experience - Current BLS & NRP certifications - Comfort with high flow oxygen, spinal fusions, and chest tubes - **Preferred:** - Prior Meditech experience - **Common Procedures:** - NGTs, Foleys, TP Tubes, PIVs, phlebotomy (Accuvein available) - Rarely perform LPs - **Team Environment:** - Fast-paced and dynamic department - Collaborative team spirit; willingness to ask for help and support others is essential - Engaged and fun team atmosphere where everyone feels included - **Unit Guidelines:** - On-site parking available with bridge access to the department, free of charge - New travelers (first contract) will be scheduled for night shifts - Priority consideration for candidates with extensive travel experience - **Why Choose This Assignment?** - Flexible scheduling that accommodates traveler requests - Comprehensive exposure to various patient situations, excluding trauma and burns - Opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and state-of-the-art equipment **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
