• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Time: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Setting: Pediatric medical/surgical unit with intermediate and step-down patients
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Candidate Preference: Local candidates within 75 miles welcomed

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications in hand
• One supervisory reference from within the last year
• Strong experience with pediatric med/surg and inpatient nursing care preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations
• Comfort working with a broad pediatric patient population, including neonates, infants, and adolescents
• Ability to meet travel compliance timelines and required documentation deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients
• Monitor and care for patients with a wide range of conditions, including respiratory, neurological, renal, and post-procedural needs
• Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, tube feedings, and other ordered treatments
• Perform pediatric assessments, interpret changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Support care for patients requiring oxygen delivery, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, and wound management
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate charting, follow unit protocols, and uphold patient safety standards
• Respond to urgent changes in condition and assist with rapid intervention as needed
