Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric (PEDS) - The organization is seeking a qualified respiratory therapist to support a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital setting. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care for neonatal patients, including ventilator management, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, surfactant administration, blood gas analysis, and nitric oxide therapy. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to high-quality neonatal care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist with at least 3 years of experience, including 3-5 years of Level 2 NICU or higher experience; NRP certification required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with STABLE certification are highly preferred.
  • Unit Information: 36-bed Level 3 NICU with a staffing ratio of 2 respiratory therapists during peak periods; equipped with Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, Vapotherms.
  • Typical Procedures: High-risk delivery attendance, ventilator management, surfactant administration, blood gas analysis, nitric oxide therapy.
  • Additional Information: The traveler will be scheduled in accordance with hospital policies, working every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis.
