Job Summary:
Pediatric Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients within a designated healthcare facility. This role involves evaluating patient needs, administering treatments, operating ventilatory and respiratory equipment, and providing patient education to ensure optimal outcomes. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to patient safety and clinical excellence in a pediatric setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Respiratory Therapy (CRT or RRT), appropriate licensing, pediatric experience, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients, additional pediatric respiratory certifications, and familiarity with pediatric respiratory equipment.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing routine pulmonary function studies, assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placements, operating ventilatory equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses. The role demands effective communication with physicians and team members, adherence to policies and procedures, and participation in emergency response situations according to BLS and ACLS guidelines. The Respiratory Therapist will also be responsible for equipment maintenance and ensuring safety and compliance during patient care activities.
