This position involves providing respiratory therapy services in an acute care setting, primarily focusing on pediatric patients in inpatient, emergency department, and step-down units. The role requires a proficient understanding of pulmonary assessment, treatment, and education, utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Job Details:
- Scope of Role: Acute Care and Emergency Department; patient assessment, treatment of pulmonary disease, and pulmonary-related education.
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and Virginia License.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required.
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- End Date: 01/18/2027
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Number of Openings: 3
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 80:1, typically seeing 20-25 patients per round.
- Unit Information: 495-bed facility, serving inpatient Pediatric (IP) patients in Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU), and Step-Down units.
- Dress Code: Hunter Green scrubs, compliant with facility policy.
- Special Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience, familiarity with EPIC EMR, and prior pediatric respiratory care experience is preferred.
