Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) is a specialized healthcare professional responsible for providing respiratory care in a pediatric intensive care unit at a facility located in Denver, Colorado. This position involves delivering advanced respiratory support and managing ventilator equipment for pediatric patients during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months current Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience, Level 111 NICU experience, and possess certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with critical care experience, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, prior Meditech system experience, and additional pediatric experience will be considered first.
- Additional Information: The unit primarily supports respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients using equipment such as G5, Servo, Avea, HFOV, Jet, and V60/V30 ventilators. The team fosters a patient-centered environment emphasizing communication with staff and providers, and adheres to established unit policies and guidelines.
