Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specialized in Pediatric (PEDS) care is sought for an acute care environment located in Austin, Texas. This position involves providing respiratory therapy services to neonatal and pediatric patients on a 12-hour night shift. The role requires clinical expertise, teamwork, and the ability to handle complex respiratory procedures, supporting patient stability and recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Pediatric experience in an acute care setting, minimum of 3 years of experience, located in Austin, Texas, with a minimum of 0 years of total experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Adult critical care (ICU) or emergency department experience, ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Additional Information: The role involves performing standard respiratory therapy procedures including ventilator management with GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, Airvo HFNC, arterial blood gases, and bronchoscopy assistance. Staff will work with new equipment and technology in a dynamic, hospital-based environment with a focus on patient care quality and team collaboration.
