Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Psychiatry in Bangor, ME. This is a contract position that requires a compassionate and skilled RN to provide care for adolescents and pediatric patients facing various mental health challenges.

As a Pediatric Psych RN, you will be responsible for:

• Caring for patients aged 5-18 with conditions such as autism, depression, anxiety, and more.
• Floating between adult and pediatric units as needed.
• Conducting regular rounds and participating in physical holds when necessary.
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing redirection and de-escalation support.

To qualify for this position, you should have:

• A minimum of 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience.
• A Maine CNA license and BLS certification (MOAB will be obtained on-site).
• Experience working with adolescent and pediatric patients.
• Strong communication skills and a flexible attitude.

The facility is a free-standing acute inpatient center with 94 beds, including 50 for pediatric patients. You will be supported by a dedicated team, including a Nurse Manager and Psych Techs, ensuring a collaborative work environment.

Additional details include:

• Weekend rotation: every other weekend.
• Expected to work holidays in rotation.
