Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient assignment serving both school-based and hospital-based pediatric patients.

Details

  • Outpatient pediatric setting covering school-based and hospital-based environments in the Bismarck area
  • Patient population ranges from birth to 21 years of age
  • Therapist to patient/student ratio is typically 1:1
  • Uses Epic/One Chart EMR
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour days, approximately 40 hours per week
  • No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements
  • No floating between units; occasional acute care pediatric patient coverage possible
  • Travel required between schools and hospital within the Bismarck area

Requirements

  • ND PT license required if applicable
  • BS in Physical Therapy required
  • BLS certification from AHA required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3+ years of pediatric PT experience preferred
  • Current driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Must have own vehicle for travel between school sites and hospital
  • Able to work independently in both educational and hospital-based outpatient settings
  • Familiarity with Peabody, Bruininks-Oseretsky, GMFM, and School Function Assessment tools preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include pediatric PT evaluations and treatments, developmental and orthopedic assessments, gait evaluations, and orthotic/equipment assessments
  • Involves documentation for IEPs, 504 plans, and 3-year evaluations, plus goal setting for patients
  • Works closely with school-based case managers, support staff, and vendors for orthotics and DME
  • Part of a larger pediatric therapy team including OTs, STs, PTs, aides, and a PT manager
  • Mentorship provided for Epic/One Chart training and school-based orientation including schedules, documentation, and equipment
  • Occasional coverage for Well Baby Clinic and Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic
  • Co-treatment sessions with other disciplines as needed
  • Business casual dress code required; no blue jeans
  • Facility does not accept local candidates residing within 80 miles
  • Candidates with prior employment at this health system must disclose it for eligibility review
