Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse in beautiful San Diego, CA! This is a fantastic opportunity for RNs with a passion for pediatric care. We welcome both PACU and PICU RNs, and if you have PICU experience, you can be trained in PACU. We are looking for dedicated professionals ready to make a difference in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care in the PACU setting.
• Manage airway, ventilation, and extubation as needed.
• Administer pain control and monitor cardiac status.
• Guide patients through discharge instructions.

Requirements:

• 1 year of pediatric hospital experience.
• 1 year of travel experience.
• Current California RN license.
• Associate's degree in nursing.
• BLS/CPR (AHA) certification.
• PALS (AHA) certification.

Additional Information:

• Possible standby/on-call shifts based on department needs.
• 1 call shift per weeknight or 1 call shift every other weekend as needed; 1 holiday call as needed.
• Must be available to work weekends with full flexibility.
• Critical care experience is preferred.
• Unit details: PACU with 38 beds and a patient-nurse ratio of 1:1-2; D/C area 1:3-4.
• Scrub color: Any color; Charting: Epic; Free traveler parking available.
