Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Operating Room RN Circulator requiring at least 2 years of OR travel experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

  • Pediatric Operating Room setting functioning as an RN Circulator
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
  • Requires participation in an on-call rotation, details discussed during interview
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed
  • May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required at time of submission
  • TN or compact RN license required
  • Pediatric OR experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of OR experience with a prior travel assignment, or 3 years of OR experience with no travel history
  • At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required, first-time travelers not accepted
  • BSN required for this position
  • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility, no exceptions

Additional Information

  • Serve as the RN Circulator supporting pediatric surgical procedures in the Operating Room
  • If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3 holidays
  • If only 2 of these holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1 of the 2
  • Former permanent staff or travelers previously employed at the facility must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates are not accepted due to the strict 100-mile radius requirement
