Job Details

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with one weekend per month.
  • Required Qualifications: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy; California Occupational Therapy license; Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards; minimum of 3 years of occupational therapy experience, including 1 year in NICU.
  • Additional Skills: NICU experience, care planning, patient assessment, documenting treatment, issuing adaptive equipment, and instructing therapy students.
  • Responsibilities include assessing neonatal patients, developing and implementing care plans compatible with physician and family goals, providing high-quality and safe patient care, assisting in patient discharge planning, and maintaining proper documentation. The role also involves coordinating with Case Managers for post-discharge therapy services, orienting new staff, and performing duties as assigned.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in durable medical equipment intervention, developmental intervention, and providing age-appropriate care to neonates.
