Job Summary:
Pediatric Medical Floor registered nurse (RN) position available for a healthcare professional in the Denver metropolitan area. This role involves caring for high-acuity pediatric patients, including those requiring ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and chest tube management. The assignment is scheduled for 14 weeks, starting on 11/03/2026, with a focus on pediatric pulmonary nursing in a dynamic, teaching hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Self-scheduling is not available.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience, minimum 2 years of Medical/Pulmonary Pediatrics experience, experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, chest tube management. Certifications: BLS and PALS. BSN preferred. Must have at least 2 years of experience; travel experience is preferred but not required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatrics experience with high-acuity ventilator-dependent patients, previous travel experience, teaching hospital experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, from 11/03/2026 to 02/06/2027.
- Additional Information: No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Candidates should be comfortable with pediatric pulmonary care, including ventilator and trach management. Season influenza vaccination is required; exemptions accepted for medical and religious reasons. Strong pediatric pulmonary experience is required, with focus on high-acuity pediatric ventilator-dependent patients.
