Job Summary:
Pediatric Medical Floor RN position in a pediatric healthcare setting. The role involves providing specialized medical and surgical care for pediatric patients, with a focus on high-level competence, flexibility, and dependability. The assignment includes working night shifts over a span of 14 weeks, with responsibilities that require quick adaptation and team collaboration to admit and manage pediatric cases effectively.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Licensure/Certification: BLS and PALS required; RN licensure; 2 years of pediatric medical/surgical experience; EPIC system experience within the last year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Team player, flexible, dependable, able to speak up if unfamiliar with procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit values high competence, adaptability, and a proactive approach. The team is resource-oriented and encourages assisting colleagues as needed; resource RNs and charge RNs have no patient assignments. The unit culture is highly collaborative, and the manager is available for questions. The assignment includes blackout dates of 11/25-11/27, 12/23-12/26, and 12/30-1/2, with a requirement to work at least two of the three holidays.
- Assignment Details: The assignment begins on 10/06/2026 and ends on 01/09/2027. The position does not consider new travelers.
