Job Requirements

  • Active Oregon RN license preferred at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required through AHA traditional format
  • PALS certification required
  • Epic experience required
  • Acute care cardiac experience required
  • Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills
  • Ability to start and maintain IVs
  • References required
  • Must be comfortable with a comprehensive compliance and background review

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to pediatric surgical and acute care patients
  • Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias as needed
  • Start and maintain IV access and support treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other support teams
  • Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
  • Support a patient-centered environment focused on quality outcomes and teamwork
  • Work effectively on a unit with an active pediatric surgical and medical overflow population
