Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience at a Level I trauma facility.

Details

  • Work within the Pediatric Stepdown Unit (OCH Stepdown) of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
  • Level I trauma center experience required
  • Cares for an assigned group of pediatric patients with varying acuity levels

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

  • Provides direct nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, and monitoring of physiological data
  • Assists physicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments
  • Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
  • Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
  • Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no flexibility for start date delays
  • 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
  • Extensions limited to one time for a maximum of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
  • First-time travelers may be considered
