Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an OK or compact RN license and PALS certification.

Details

  • Pediatric ICU unit within a hospital setting
  • Provides nursing care to pediatric patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
  • CVICU and NICU experience preferred
  • Level 1 trauma experience preferred
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly

Requirements

  • Active OK or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and PALS certification from AHA
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Additional Information

  • Responsible for an assigned group of patients, documenting care and monitoring responses to treatment
  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
  • Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
  • Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; returning workers must have a 6-month separation before reapplying
  • Facility enforces strict credentialing and compliance deadlines, with no start date flexibility
  • 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
